Tomorrow is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, so I want to lift up the remarkable impact of women scientists around the world, who have been doing so much to help us all through this pandemic. I’m also feeling proud of the organizations in the Girls Opportunity Alliance community that work so heroically to empower the next generation of women in #STEM. WISER in Kenya is one of those organizations. They focus on girls’ education with an emphasis on science, math, and technology. Nimon Odeka, one of their students, discovered her love of physics and education technology through their program—now she is studying to become a teacher to pay forward her education to others.
